Emergency Medicine Department is run by Aster MIMS Calicut and Asha Hospital jointly.

Medical Emergency Service team of Aster MIMS is present round the clock in the department.

Aster MIMS Asha Emergency Department is available 24 hour a day throughout the year.

Anyone with urgent medical problem can seek consultation/ treatment in the Emergency Department.

Emergency patient coming to the Department will be triaged by a Triage Officer at the entrance. The triaged patient is send to Resuscitation Bay (Blue Zone), Red Zone (Priority 1), Yellow Zone (Priority 2) and Fast Track Clinic (Green Zone) according to priority.

We have a dedicated team of doctors (Emergency Physicians, Emergency Residents, and Medical Officers from major specialties i.e. Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, ENT, and Junior Residents) Nurses, Para medicals and Orderlies etc. to provide urgent medical services.

The treating doctors will call any specialist/ super specialist who are available on call for urgent consultation as and when required. In serious cases treatment /management gets priority over paper work like registration / medico legal requirements.

Emergency Department has fully equipped Mini Operation Theatre for any urgent first aid.

The Aster MIMS Asha Emergency Medicine Department is fully equipped to manage all acute emergencies and mass consultation.

The department of General Medicine provides a broad range of services for patients at Asha Hospital. The department meets the needs of patients with acute complication includes Infection, Pulmonary Complications, Cardiovascular Disease and Metabolic Disorders. We provide an inpatient consultation service for management of medical illness of patients undergoing Surgery, Pregnancy and Chemo radiation. Department of Medicine has developed an infection control policy in the hospital which is strictly followed. Our nursing and paramedical staffs are well trained in basic and advanced cardiac life supports and skilled in hospital stabilization of critically ill patient.

Our past records make us enjoy a good reputation among the public and medical faculty.
